Jered Sprecher works in Knoxville, Tennessee and is faculty at the University of Tennessee School of Art. He received his BA from Concordia University in Nebraska and MFA from the University of Iowa. He was awarded a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship in 2009, National Endowman for the Arts Challenge Grant in 2017, Ann and Steve Bailey Opportunity Grant in 2017, Jefferson Prize, Office of the Chancellor, UT in 2018, and an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Tennessee Arts Commission in 2019.
