Arrowmont Endowment
The Arrowmont Endowment is made up of funds held in perpetuity with earnings used for the benefit of the institution. The principal or corpus of the fund is never used, only a specific percentage as designated by the Board of Governors is disbursed annually for use in accordance with the terms of the gift. Arrowmont’s Endowment is made up of the following:
- Unrestricted endowments that allow the disbursement to be used at the discretion of the school
- Scholarship endowments are restricted endowments – annual disbursements are used to provide scholarship support per the terms of the scholarship agreement
- Programmatic endowments that support the Artists-in-Residence program, new program initiatives, children’s and community programming
- Maintenance endowment supports the maintenance and upgrades of grounds, studios, and facilities
Gifts of any amount may be made to an established endowment fund such as scholarship or operating. Establishment of a named endowment fund requires a minimum commitment of $25,000 and must be completed within five years.
