The earliest sign of spring is the song of the peeper. In this class, we will spend the morning building frogs out of earthenware clay. After lunch, we will paint, decorate, and finalize our creations. These frog sculptures can make wonderful additions to your family’s garden and flower beds.
*Arrowmont staff will kiln fire all pieces. Students will be notified about pick up at a later date.

Amy Evans’ first introduction to clay was in high school where she found a place of confidence and familiarity after spending many summers assisting her grandparents in their gardens on their farm. She went on to teach ceramics at summer camps in Maine while working on my BFA from the University of North Texas and MFA from East Carolina University. In addition to keeping a home studio, Amy teaches full-time at Walters State Community College in Morristown, Tennessee where she is a professor of art and department chair.
