Workshop Description
In this workshop students will create ceramic lattice screens which investigate repeating and tessellating pattern. You will also discover how pattern, ceramics and architecture intersect in within contemporary craft? Participants will be working with press molding clay into plaster air-release molds to create thin, decorative structures. By making these screens, students will be able to use an industrial process to express their own personal voice. Digital methods may be discussed but the class will be based on hands-on work. Experience in clay is suggested but the course is open to all skill levels.
