Can’t draw a straight line even with a ruler? No problem, explore mark making through a range of exercises where you loose that fear and relish the path the marks take you.

Artist Bio

Nancy Baur Dillen is an artist, educator, and art consultant residing in Melbourne, Florida. She received her MA and BS from Florida State University. She is professor emerita in the Art Department at Eastern Florida State College. Now retired, Dillon taught for 35 years and coordinated the Art Department’s programs. She is member of the Florida Artists Group and the National Association of Women Artists. Her paintings and drawings are in public and private collections and recently appeared in NAWA Now, the National Association for Women Artists Magazine.

Workshop Description

This workshop will provide students the opportunity to learn about observational drawing while exploring various media ranging from charcoal, graphite, conte’, and India ink. You will experience a wide range of art concepts and techniques. Participants will begin with exploratory mark making and move to still life and on to landscape. Exploration of the media will be encouraged to find your own form of self-expression. This workshop is designed to accommodate beginning as well as advanced students. Open to all skill levels.
