Workshop Description

In this workshop students will load and fire the train kiln with a reduced cooling at the end of the firing. While the kiln cools, there will be class demonstrations and discussions about design, studio practice, wood firing variations, and shared inspirations. Participants will then unload the kiln and spend time cleaning their pieces and adding the final finishing touches on favorite pieces from the firing. Students should bring to class bisque pots for the firing and will be going home with finished pieces and maybe a few bisque pieces. All clay you use for this class should be rated for cone 9-11 (high fire temperatures). Open to all skill levels.
