Ashley Mintz is a visual artist and writer who lives in Nashville, Tennessee and teaches art and writing techniques through journaling and mixed media art workshops. She began her creative journey when she moved to Nashville to pursue songwriting. Composing and recording her own instrumental music, Mintz has had original music used in independent and short films and a play. Her art is exhibited in galleries, hotels, and community centers.
Students will explore ways to reuse old books and turn them into works of art by adding some edge to your journaling routine. Using different materials, you will learn mixed media techniques and engage in writing exercises while mixing the two to discover new ideas to fill the pages of old books, creating unique art journals. Open to all skill levels.
