Workshop Description

Realign, redirect, and reconsider stitching as an element of design in this fearless free-motion quilting workshop. This class will approach stitching as meditation, communication, introspection, and play and will broaden the scope of how stitching can enhance and refine the cloth surface. Translating line to thread, you will learn techniques to accept the imperfect, accelerate ideas, and stitch from the imagination. Exercises will provide new tools for seeing, interpreting, and completing concept-driven work. Participants will also explore the 2D and 3D dimensions of stitch. Open to all skill levels, however free-motion quilting experience a plus.
