Artist Bio
Heesoo Lee is a studio ceramic artist based in Helena, Montana. Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Heesoo earned her BA in Art from Ewha University. She was a summer resident at the Archie Bray Foundation in 2013 and a long-term resident from 2014 to 2016. Lee shows and sells her work throughout the U.S. and abroad.

Workshop Description
In this workshop students will create a clay canvas and vessel through an additive process on handbuilt or wheelthrown porcelain forms. Class demonstrations will include altering, texturing, and decorating surfaces to enhance the three dimensionalities of a painting with layering underglazes. Your work can be drawn from nature and the landscape. Basic handbuilding and wheelthrowing skills are necessary.
