Workshop Description

During this workshop students will turn hollow forms and create woodturning projects incorporating natural features from the raw tree with a natural design. The goal is for you to expand your woodturning skills and to view your projects in a different way. Participants will learn that there are many ways and styles to add a natural edge to their piece. Class demonstrations will include safety, tool sharpening, and prepping your wood for the lathe. By the end of class, you will have improved your hollow turning skills and have a different outlook on how to add more natural character to the design of your pieces. Taking home your beautiful new work is the bonus. Open to all skill levels.
