Workshop Description
Students will hone their skills on the wheel to build confidence in their creative practice. Through skill-building exercises, class discussion, and one-on-one instruction, students will learn to better see the subtleties of form while making a variety of classic dinnerware shapes. Ergonomics, working at scale, and precision throwing will be covered, as well as aesthetic issues and creative problem solving in the studio. Decoration will be discussed but most of the class will be focused on seeing and refining form. This class is well suited for advanced beginners and intermediate throwers who need a boost to their studio practice.
