Workshop Description
Waterfall tables celebrate the life of the tree – grain wraps from the top to the side so that we can appreciate the wood no matter our viewpoint. In this workshop students will develop technical skills in woodworking including miter joints and butterfly keys to create a waterfall table. You will also discover that wooden tables are a combination of form and function. During class students will learn wood movement, jointery, and finish techniques. Participants will leave having built a waterfall top and side for a table made from live edge wood or straight edge lumber. Open to all skill levels, however a general understanding of woodworking machinery is encouraged.
