Ornate Objects And The Embellished Assemblage
July 19, 2020 – July 25, 2020
This workshop will explore ornate surface embellishment and a variety of construction methods through press molds and slip casting. Students will create press molds from objects they bring to class as well as assemblages from slip cast craft molds they own. The exploration of surface through press molded textures enhances hand-built objects (and wheel thrown work) and assemblages from slip casted objects from hobby molds can be altered or added to create a dynamic narrative. Participants will be encouraged to explore and improvise. Open to all skill levels.
COURSE FEE: $600
