Recording Surfaces With Pulp
October 21, 2018 – October 27, 2018
In this experimental workshop, students learn to create dynamic surfaces and forms with handmade paper. Working with cotton, you will begin by preparing the fibers in the paper beater and using paper/pulp-casting techniques to achieve a variety of forms from site-specific castings and molds made in class. Students are encouraged to bring objects or materials to use in casting. In addition to experimenting with 3-D papermaking techniques, participants will be guided through several processes designed to encourage creativity and growth. Open to all skill levels.
COURSE FEE: $525
