Put A Lid On It
September 9, 2018 – September 15, 2018
In this workshop students turn lidded containers in many shapes and sizes from a very a small pill box to a large lidded bowl. Creating a good form that is also functional is the focus. You will explore different types of lid styles and work on creating the proper lid fit for the function of the container. Participants will explore a variety of knobs, handles and finials as well as experimenting with textures and embellishments to take the containers from ordinary to awesome. Some turning experience is helpful, but anyone is welcome to come and play.
