Cutting Edge: Experiments with Dichroic Glass

During this workshop students discover the wonders of dichroic glass fusing. This class is full of discovery through manipulation of this fascinating medium. Exploring the unique skills to grow your creativity and glass artistry, you will delve into the elements of light and space to reveal the stunning effects. Participants are encouraged to experiment with their own ideas. Some experience with glass is helpful, but not necessary.
COURSE FEE: $595
Meagan Chaney Gumpert is a studio artist working with low fire clay and kiln cast glass. Primarily inspired by nature, her sculptures are held in numerous corporate and private collections and have been shown nationwide. She has served as a Resident Artist at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, The Clay Studio of Missoula, and Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts. Gumpert has a BA in Studio Art from Meredith College and completed a post-baccalaureate ceramics program at the University of Florida. She now teaches workshops and maintains a private studio in Ocala, FL.
