Marbling Alternative Surfaces
August 30, 2018 – September 2, 2018
Pat K. Thomas
During this workshop students fascinated with color and pattern discover the art of marbling where they can float paints on thickened water and create traditional and contemporary patterns with simple handmade tools. Participants will print their original designs on a variety of surfaces including specialty papers, leather, 3-D wood and bisque, and rigid papier mache’ forms. This fast-paced workshop will yield original marbling for mixed media artists, bookbinders and woodturners. Students will be given all recipes and instructions to continue marbling at home. Open to all skill levels.
COURSE FEE: $340
