Soft Sculpture Still Life
August 12, 2018 – August 18, 2018
In this workshop students create objects in soft sculpture, celebrating their familiarity with hand work. Students should feel a relationship to their object such as a tool or a sentimental heirloom. You will compose a still life at week’s end using your soft sculpture. Beginners should choose a simple object and will learn basic construction skills. Advanced students looking to push their skills may pick a more challenging object with surface detail. All sewing will be done by hand, with the goal of creating sculpture prioritizing personality over perfection. Open to all skill levels.
COURSE FEE: $525
