Warped Wood

July 8, 2018 – July 14, 2018

Jackson Martin

In this class students are introduced to controlled warps in wood using steam-bending techniques and equipment. Using hardwoods such as oak, ash, walnut and cherry, students will experience and participate in unbelievable permanent bends using compression straps and plywood jigs. Students will then utilize these techniques along with the various woodshop tools and equipment to craft beautiful, hand-made sculpture. Open to all skill levels.
