Turnin’ and Burnin’ Wearable Art
June 17, 2018 – June 23, 2018
In this workshop students will create wearable art while learning basic and advanced pyrography techniques used to decorate it. The art will include a barrel-shaped purse and jewelry such as a bangle, pendant or earring set. Because a purse is initially a large lidded box with some modifications, participants will learn to turn by using hollowing equipment and spindle turning tools. The jewelry pieces require cross grain work, so you can improve your bowl gouge techniques. Since pyrography is an excellent enhancement technique, students will learn how to apply patterns to their pieces and how to burn them successfully. Open to all skill levels.
COURSE FEE: $595
