Hard Candy: Sweet Ceramic Surfaces
June 10, 2018 – June 16, 2018
Jason Bige Burnett
This intensive workshop introduces surface techniques for students to discover and take home! With an emphasis on screen printing, students will create image transfers and produce personal narratives using doodles and patterns. You will discover how to work through layers of material using various methods including the use of slips, resists, glaze applications and decals. Using multiple techniques, participants will work small and fire in electric kilns. The class will use a cone 6 stoneware, but the materials and techniques will lend themselves to various firing temps and techniques. Experience in clay preferred, but no printing experience is necessary.
COURSE FEE: $525
