Books of the Earth
April 5, 2018 – April 8, 2018
During this workshop students will create a beautiful, contemporary book while discovering the wonder of working with natural materials. Participants with an interest in bookbinding and technique-driven content using unusual materials will expand their range of skills and techniques. You will oxidize copper to create a beautiful patina for your book covers, then learn techniques using mica, rust printing, object printing and more to create materials for artful books. Bookbinding essentials are learned as students create mica books and bind their copper books with the historic long stitch on a leather spine. Open to all skill levels.
COURSE FEE: $340
