This year, due to lingering concerns about the pandemic and large crowds, Arrowmont is not hosting Starry Night on campus. Instead, we are delivering a chef prepared meal, ready to serve, plus a box of handmade serving pieces to homes or other designated locations on May 21, 2021.

As a nod to our traditional outdoor event, dinner is a picnic. The menu includes:

Cheese board with Brie/Camembert, Gruyere
Merguez/Prosciutto, Saucisson Sec, Salmon/Pork/Duck Rillettes
French olive mix, Baguette and basil oil

SOUPS (two included)

Roasted red pepper gazpacho
Vichyssoise with chives

Endive and blue cheese salad with walnuts and truffle vinaigrette

ENTREES (two included)

Roasted beef tenderloin with heirloom tomato, Persian cucumber, basil, sherry vinegar, Chimichurri Verde sauce
Cold Fruits de Mer salad

DESSERT (two included)

Chocolate Pots de Crème
Fresh berry shortcake Napoléon

The Auction is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Payment for your items may be made online, by phone, or mailed. Payment may be made by check or credit card. Arrowmont accepts all major credit cards. Your items will be mailed upon receipt of payment. If you have any questions, call Gabrielle Barnhart, 865-436-5860, [email protected].

VALUE: $200 per person

LOCATION: Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts

Create a piece of handmade pottery with friends, fine wine and fabulous food in an Arrowmont tradition — the Arrowmont Pottery Party. Attend with friends and family, and make new friends. You will be guided through the creative process; no previous experience is needed. You will hand build your piece, glaze it, and put on the final touches before enjoying a delicious meal with a selection of wine. Your pottery piece will be fired and made ready for use following the event.

Of the experience, Bill Griffith says, “It is a time for fellowship. The people who attend the Pottery Indulgence may not be expert potters but they are high achievers. Our goal is to help them create an original piece of pottery that they will be proud to use in their home. I often tell them that they are building their next family heirloom.

VALUE: $200 per person

LOCATION: Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts

INSTRUCTOR: Geri Forkner, Arrowmont Appalachian Craft and Culture Fellow, 2019

Create a unique object or wearable art in a new Party experience — an Arrowmont Felting Party. Bring your friends and make new friends. Geri Forkner will cater the evening with felting projects that appeal to the entire party. Afterwards, savor fine wine and a delicious dinner as part of the Felting Indulgence experience. All materials are included.

Create unique botanical prints using found plants and the power of the sun — experience the Arrowmont Lumen Printing Party. This special opportunity is an ideal family event. Talented artists on Arrowmont’s staff will guide you and up to nine of your family and friends through the three-hour creative experience. All of the participants will craft beautiful prints at your home, Arrowmont, or an outdoor location of your choice. Great for children and adults; no experience needed. Lumen printing uses small, flattened flowers, grasses, leaves and more layered atop photographic paper and exposed to bright light. You will assemble dynamic compositions as you enjoy a selection of cold drinks and individual boxed meals by Chef’s Catering. Your prints will be dried and ready for display or further craft projects at the end of the experience.
