Explore the Art of broom design and leave with all the know-how to make brooms on your own! All levels welcome, but moderate hand and upper body strength are needed.
Mark Hendry is a full-time artisan specializing in historic handcraft with a focus on using natural materials. With over 30 years of experience as a professional teacher of fine and performing arts, both in private, public, and magnet schools, Mark travels throughout the country teaching all levels and ages. He teaches regularly for the John C. Campbell Folk School, is a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, and is the director and resident artist for Mountain Heritage Handcraft, located in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
