Steve Loar

Steve Loar is a sculptor in Grand Rapids, Michigan who uses wood, especially wooden bowls, to create abstracted compositions that are typically colorful and narrative. Thirty-six years of university teaching gives him a depth of expertise in design, creativity, collaboration and woodworking. His teaching methods recognize multiple learning styles and an understanding of the anxieties related to learning design, providing a solid foundation for the creation of beautiful personal objects.
