Pat Hickman


Professor Emerita of Art, University of Hawaii; lives in Haverstraw, NY on the Lower Hudson River. Her studio is at the Garnerville Arts and Industrial Center. Hickman’s work is in major collections. Her gate commission, Nets of Makalii–Nets of the Pleiades, stands at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Hickman twice received NEA grants. Since 2005, Fellow of the American Craft Council. President of TSA (2008–2010). She serves on the National Basketry Organization Board. Hickman curated Innerskins/Outerskins: Gut and Fishskin and Baskets: Redefining Volume and Meaning.
