Jiyoung Chung is an artist, freelance writer and independent curator who has developed the innovative method of Joomchi into a contemporary art form. She received a BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design and her MFA in Print/Media from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. In 2010, she curated the International Korean/American Joomchi show for European Patchwork Meeting in France. Chung has authored a how-to book titled Joomchi & Beyond.
