Heather Allen Hietala is a studio artist, workshop teacher, adjunct professor and permaculture gardener in Asheville, NC. Her awards include: two Centrum Artist Residencies, a National Endowment for the Arts – Regional Fellowship, and a Tennessee Arts Commission Fellowship. Her work is in the collections of the Racine Art Museum (WI), Asheville Art Museum (NC) Gregg Museum of Art and Design, (NC), and the Horn Collection of Contemporary Craft (AR). She is represented by Oeno Gallery (Bloomfield, ON) and Blue Spiral 1 (NC).
