Brenda Quinn is one of the invited artists for the upcoming Utilitarian Clay Symposium that has been rescheduled for 2021. Brenda was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She attended Tyler School of Art, Temple University, where she received a BFA in ceramics. Quinn then earned her MFA in ceramics from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. She works with porcelain, combining hand building and wheel throwing to create objects that strike a balance between utility and aesthetics. Most of her pots are functional and intended to be used. Each pot is unique, and she is constantly exploring new forms and glazes.
