This spring, make a forever flower that will never wilt! In this one-day workshop students learn simple metal working techniques including: forming, texturing, bending, riveting and finishing. The instructor provides a variety of flower patterns to choose from. You will leave with at least one fully finished metal flower.
Instructor ∙ Elizabeth Belz
Elizabeth Belz is a blacksmith, educator and the owner of Black Widow Forge, LLC. She was the blacksmithing apprentice at the Metal Museum in Memphis, TN for two years where she trained under master metalsmith Jim Masterson. Elizabeth was a craft education intern at North House Folk School, Grand Marais in 2016, and a resident artist with the Science Museum of Minnesota in 2017. Belz has exhibited her work, competed and taught blacksmithing throughout the United States and internationally. She is currently an Arrowmont 2021-22 Artist-in-Residence.
