Kitchen knives are an important tool that we interact with almost daily, but it can be easy to neglect them. They are sharp enough to cut through almost anything when new but they don’t stay that sharp for long. Instead of replacing them, they just need some attention! This one-day crash-course on kitchen knife care will give you the tools and knowledge to sharpen your kitchen knives and keep ’em sharp.

Michael France is an artist originally from Huntington, West Virginia, and currently living on a farm in Union County, Tennessee. Focusing on utilitarian objects and how we interact with them daily, Michael hopes to provide people with simple and thoughtfully made tools that will outlive and outshine their mass-produced counterparts. In this quest for quality, as an instructor he imparts the value of handmade tools and the skills and time required to produce objects that will serve the user well for years to come.
