Artist Statement:
I have been an artist and cake designer for 40 plus years. I like to come up with cake shapes and edible materials that are not the usual things used on cakes, such as gold and silver, edible paper, and gelatin. I like to have some kind of humor in my work, or something puzzling.

In this piece I have made a somewhat precarious shape that is more like a sculpture than a cake. I want people to do a double take when looking at this work, not knowing what they are initially looking at, or knowing that the materials are edible.
