Artist Statement:
Mongiovi seeks to uncover ideologies and actions that lead to the formation of structures within a given system. These stories are not limited to paradigms of commerce, culture and science. Events related to the natural world and a mutual human need to satisfy sensual desire are also present. This array of circumstances provides a deep awareness of one’s place in the present. Mongiovi utilizes various processes and materials to foster a visual language that pays homage to origins.
