“I know it’s been a tough year for many, and for all of us, in one way or another. One of the things Arrowmont does best, and I’ve seen firsthand, is they give people an outlet…whether it’s an outlet to enjoy the community, or an outlet through art and taking a class, or whether it’s just an outlet to come and enjoy art; I think we’re desperate for those human connections and those outlets after a year like 2020.”
In this video, Maggie shares some of the reasons why Arrowmont is so important to her, and to the community of Gatlinburg and Sevier County. She encourages you to join her as a Friend of Arrowmont. Maggie says,
“I would just encourage everyone if they have any excess that they can give, anything small or large, to look at Arrowmont and consider them. It’s a school that’s really doing wonderful things and providing such a service that’s needed, especially at this time in history.”
Arrowmont’s annual giving fund, Friends of Arrowmont, contributes over $600,000 annually in scholarships to some of the most vulnerable communities – teachers, veterans, artists and aspiring artists, and to members of the East Tennessee community. Every gift to Friends of Arrowmont is valued, and important.
