Outright Gifts
Cash, Personal Checks, Securities, and In-Kind Gifts
Cash and personal checks are the easiest ways to support Arrowmont. However, donating appreciated assets such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds may provide you with a tax deduction based on current market value of the gift and eliminate capital gains taxes. This would allow you to make a substantially greater gift for the same out-of-pocket cost.

In-Kind Gifts
In-Kind gifts donated to Arrowmont are tax deductible in accordance with the School’s 501 © (3) nonprofit status. The School also maintains a Wish List (See link to Wish List in left column.) reflecting equipment, supplies, furniture, etc. currently needed to improve programs and facilities.

Planned Gifts
Planned gifts allow donors to look after their long-range financial and estate planning while receiving immediate credit for the gift and possible tax advantages. These types of gifts include bequests and trusts, Charitable Remainder Trust, Charitable Lead Trust, retirement funds, and insurance. Often these gifts are major gifts that have a lasting impact on the School, helping to secure its future.
