GENERAL INFORMATION & FEES

Registration begins April 16, 2008; 8:30 a.m. Registrations taken by phone, fax or in person only.
No early registrations accepted.

The Symposium fee structure includes all educational and gallery events listed, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Saturday Cookout Dinner & Bluegrass Dance). A maximum of 200 registrations will be taken on a first come, first served basis. A wait list will be taken after 200.

Currently enrolled full time students send a copy of student ID.

Participants may purchase guest tickets for the Saturday Cookout/Dance ($30) by noting this on the registration form or contacting the school at least one week prior to the Symposium.

HOUSING
Campus housing is available to Symposium participants in the form of single, double, triple, and dormitory rooms. Housing is limited and assigned on a first come, first served basis. Hughes Hall, has air-conditioned rooms, private or adjoining baths, lounge, large porch and is first floor handicap accessible. Stuart and Teachers are quaint houses that are simply furnished, with air conditioning and shared baths. None have private baths. Red Barn is not air-conditioned and offers double, triple and dormitory style rooms that accommodate 4-13 people, all with shared baths. Prices are per person.

Information on off-campus housing can be obtained from the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce (1-800-237-4569 or www.gatlinburg.com). No camping is allowed on Arrowmont property. No pets are permitted on campus except guide dogs. Camping facilities through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Service are also available. Call (865) 436-5615 or website, http://reservations.nps.gov. Early reservations are encouraged.

ACCESSIBILITY
All studios and housing facilities are accessible to those with mobility impairments. Arrowmont’s campus is considered moderate mountain terrain. A gradual walk up a short hill to most housing facilities is necessary. If you have special housing requirements, please discuss with the registrar at the time of registration so we can best meet your needs.

TRANSPORTATION TO CAMPUS
Arrowmont has contracted a shuttle service from Knoxville McGhee Tyson Airport, located 45 miles from campus. The charge for this service is $50 each way ($100 round trip). Reservations must be made in advance. More detailed information regarding scheduled airport pick-up times will be mailed with registration confirmation materials. Car rentals are available at the airport—Enterprise Rent-A-Car offers a 10 percent discount with corporate code: 56EN632.

REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS/DISCLAIMER
Requests for refunds must be made in writing and are subject to a $50 processing fee for the Symposium and meal package, and a $20 processing fee for the Arrowmont housing plan. Full refunds, less the above mentioned amounts, will be made for requests made before or on July 19th. No refunds will be made for requests postmarked after July 19th due to faculty contracts, material acquisitions, housing, and travel arrangements. In the event that Arrowmont would have to cancel the symposium, all participants’ payments would be refunded; however, Arrowmont cannot cover any airline ticket refunds.

Neither Arrowmont, it’s Board, Staff or its Symposium Coordinators can be held liable for any program changes, theft, damage, or any injury incurred in relation to or during the symposium. Registration form signatures or credit card registrations (phone or written) grant Arrowmont permission to use photographs taken at the symposium for educational purposes.
