Each project will stress a different skill or technique that will allow your imagination to explore new possibilities.

Tin is In & Good as Gold
Beware! Working with tin is highly addictive and after this class you will buy strange exotic foods just for the can! Tin cans with images and text painted directly on the metal are a great material to bring color and pizzazz to jewelry. We will combine tin with sterling silver and other metals to create unique and personal wearable treasures. Sawing, drilling, texturing, cutting and forming tools will be used to create tin gems. Bracelets, necklaces or earrings are all possibilities and recycling never had more beautiful results. All levels.
Tuition & lab fee: $295

Marlene True –
studio artist living in Greenville, NC, with recent exhibitions at Craft Alliance, St. Louis, MO, and Society for Contemporary Crafts, Pittsburgh, PA; work is published in “The Fine Art of the Tin Can” (Lark).
